​Mma Ikwut-Ukwa became an outdoor educator after discovering the joys of building community outdoors during her first backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail in college. She’s spent two years leading backcountry hiking courses as a field instructor for NOLS throughout the western U.S. Mma is also a planetary scientist, most recently as a graduate student at Caltech. She is excited to experience challenge, connection, and affinity with this Kilimanjaro team.
